Rotary's Youth Exchange is one of the most popular programs to promote international understanding and develop lifelong friendships. The values of Rotary Youth Exchange are experienced not only by the high-school-age students involved but also by the host families, sponsoring clubs, receiving high schools, and the entire community.
The Bill Grant Memorial Award has been developed in memory of the Rotary Club of Beecroft’s past-President (1992-1993), Dr William (Bill) Grant, for recognition of his exemplary service to education. As part of the youth service portfolio, the annual Award recognises a local student that is developing attributes and dedication in pursuit of a career in education and acknowledges their enthusiasm and energy as a positive catalyst for change amongst their peers.
The Model United Nations Assembly is a significant International Rotary youth program in which our District participates. Senior high school students develop an awareness of the United Nations and the countries they represent at a simulated UN Assembly.
This program where schools send a team of students to compete against other schools. The activities involve the application of principles of science, engineering & technology with a minimum of introduction and theory. Rotary is involved and sponsors some great YOUTH SERVICE PROGRAMS throughout the year which you can be part of.
A week-long “life changing” experience for 90+ young adults who are in the early stages of their career to develop leadership skills. It is an intensive time of nonstop activity and interaction. Participants research current issues and seek solutions through debate and planning and is a rewarding week of teamwork.
This unique program offers exciting, challenging camp experiences to children from a wide range of disadvantaged backgrounds. The program is based on these six "life concepts": I believe in you: I trust you: I know you can handle it: You are listened to: You are cared for: You are important to me.
